come september, i'm ready for school. the syllabi, library crowds, lists, first-day jitters. and of course, my favorite, skimming the stack of used textbooks for a glimpse of what's to come.
although i'm happy to be where i am at this point in my life, i miss the new school year. so much that i plan to make a syllabus of my own. a pseudo-syllabus. it will include books i'd like to read, places i'd like to see, meals i'd like to cook...anything i can strive to accomplish during the "school year."
i feel good about this. my pseudo-syllabus. it's my attempt to fill a void with things that make sense to me right now. when it comes down to it, who says i can't buy a new moleskin, sharpen my pencils, and read like a madwoman? hey, it's a new year, and i'm ready to learn!
